One of my favorite ways to creatively ‘warm-up’ is to rummage through that old stack of magazines piled-up on my side table, sketch pad, glue stick, X-Acto knife and piece together a face or abstract composition. The immediacy of this technique lends itself to freedom from over thinking the artwork. Yes, there was life before Photoshop. This is one of those exercises that ended-up being worth signing!
